Forgotten Knights is a secret organization dedicated to undermining the law. People are fallible. The more powerful one becomes, the more dramatic the effects of one's failures. The Eternal Emperor wields ultimate power in The Shelves. This power takes the form of the law. Thus, it is obvious what we must do.
Forgotten Knights is organized in a simple hierarchy composed of agents, support staff, and a single leader, who is described in more depth below. Communication occurs through a secret "forgotten" language known only to Forgotten Knights. All members have a communication device hidden somewhere on their person which not only allows them to communicate with each other, but also tracks their location.
Agents are the bread and butter of Forgotten Knights. Agents are sent on what are called "missions." Missions can be a variety of activities, all of which bring Forgotten Knights closer to their ultimate goal.
A member of the support staff can be either a specialized agent or an outsider who is for some reason sympathetic to the cause but is not a Forgotten Knight. Although support staff don't generally experience the same level of danger as agents, they are valuable, crucial contributors to the team.
Forgotten Knights headquarters are located on the left shelf in a junkyard. The entrance to the hideout is secret, so don't tell anyone. The hideout contains five rooms.
The main room contains an old communications terminal with a chair and a headset. From this terminal, one can communicate with any Forgotten Knight as well as discern their location via a radar screen. The radar will only pick up Forgotten Knights' communicators. The main room also has a bulletin board, two couches, a mini-fridge, and a television.
Other general access rooms include a sleeping room, a storage room, and a kitchen/W.C. The sleeping room contains bunkbeds and cots as well as a first aid kit. The storage room is a largish warehouse/garage which has various containers of stolen goods, an old truck, and a Riebert's motorcycle. There is a secret driveway on which vehicles may exit the hideout. The kitchen/W.C. has a shower, an oven/stove, a refrigerator, and a toilet.
The fifth room is the leader's and is off limits to all.
The leader of Forgotten Knights goes by many names. His current favorite is The Shadow Master. He is a mysterious and brilliant man; mysterious because he's sort of quiet and you can't see his face, brilliant because he comes up with all these great missions for agents to go on.
The Shadow Master is known to be both a master of the martial arts and of espionage. He can be somewhat stern, but he cares for his agents and will do his utmost to get them out of trouble. He's had to do this for D'Wayne Cabbage many times.
D'Wayne Cabbage is a wildman maverick face. He is well known throughout The Shelves for his recklessness, hot-temper, and criminal record. Although his behavior is by no means intentional, it serves a purpose. Not only do D'Wayne's activities serve to shake things up and overtly undermine the law, but they also make for a great distraction.
D'Wayne is a friendly fellow most of the time. He has an infectious smile, and a crude sense of humor. He is both excitable and loud. In general, he seems harmless, but there is something about his eyes which is unsettling.
Rodondo is a piratey new operative for Forgotten Knights. This ne'er -do-well swashbuckler was discovered, along with Adrian Athome, and brought to the hide-out by D'Wayne Cabbage. Although he has yet to be tested in a mission (Forgotten Knights have been lying low during the transfer of power,) it is thought that he'll be a valuable addition to the team; both because he is indebted to D'Wayne Cabbage and because he is a wily scalliwag with no love for John Law.
Riebert is a killer, cold and simple. Intelligent and efficient, if a trifle sadistic, Riebert is given a wide-berth. As such, not much is known about her. What is known tends to make one not wish to know more. The fact that she was trained by the boss when considered along side her occasional commentary on one's mortality coupled with her horrifying grin makes even the most stalwart knight think multiple times before asking questions.
Hiebert, the monkey-man, master of espionage and heir to the leader's martial arts legacy, is one of Forgotten Knights top agents. Although Hiebert is quiet and scratches his butt a lot, he has proven to be steadfast and loyal in the past.
In the present, not much is known about where Hiebert comes from. Although rumors suggest he is descended from a fierce nomadic tribe that used to dominate what is now considered "the Tablelands," these can't be corroborated. Another suggestion (coming from D'Wayne Cabbage) is that Hiebert is nothing more than a trained monkey.
Not only is Judith Light semi-famous due to her role as the "girlfriend medical doctor" on the hit show "Darren PD and the Firefighter," but it seems she possesses some real-life medical skills as well! She is the person Forgotten Knights smuggles to the base whenever there is a medical emergency and her ties to the small screen just may come in handy."
Gousty is the eccentric tinkerer who lives in the junkyard outside of headquarters. It is he who is responsible for the discrete communicators that help keep Forgotten Knights together in the field. Although he can be a noisy neighbor and a poor communicator himself, Forgotten Knights is fortunate to have his mechanical genius working for the cause.
